Team handbook

Introduction

I think you've noticed that we do things a little differently than most businesses do. That's why we call ourselves the "crazy one." We've built a place where we can be ourselves and do the things we love to do the best.

Oneworld is all about breaking things up; making a trail; finding new ways to see, do, and think. But in the next few pages, we're going to lay out the general principles we follow and how we work. This way, you can start to understand our culture right away. Use these principles to help you find your way around this place. Think of them as "street signs" or "lighthouses." It will take some time to get used to, but once you do, we think you'll have a great time here with us.

Rules for Work

Results as priority

We're more interested in the result you make than in the process through which you arrived at it. Creativity, invention, and discovery are all the result of trial and error.

So you have free reign on how you’ll deliver. (Of course, with respect to deadlines and teammates and output quality.)

Simultaneously, although we expect the greatest level of performance from everyone, it is critical that we all work well together and show respect for everyone. It pays to be pleasant.

Additionally, we place a high priority on the ability to manage teams, empower people, and get things done, rather than on rank or hierarchy.

Apart from the fact that Oneworld is a ROWE (Results-Oriented Work Environment), it is critical that you love your work at the company. Don't you discover that you stay longer in environments that make you feel good?

No Vacation Policy

Take what you need and come back fresh. The main requirement is that you provide proper notice to all of your teams - agency, client, and stakeholders – particularly for extended absences. And don't forget a proper handover; else, this will be a vacation from which you will not return.

Flexible Time/ Remote work

Utilize your most productive hours - whether you're an early bird, a night owl, or somewhere in between. However, when meetings and deadlines are established, you are required to arrive as soon as feasible.

Additionally, you are encourage to work anywhere you like - at home, at a coffee shop, or beach. However, you are expected to be responsive to all kinds of communication during standard business hours (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), unless you have previously defined expectations with the rest of your team.

If you are constantly working long hours, there is a concern with the planning and time management. Raise your hand and inform your team so that they can assist you in resolving the issue.

Dress code

You get 2 Oneworld shirts when you start – it’s one way to help you reduce decision fatigue.
